“We had small addition put on our house, relocating a laundry room, adding a half bath, and opening up the kitchen-dining space (which was divided by the laundry closet). They had to tie in the addition to the existing carport roof as well, and added some lighting and cabinetry in the kitchen. VR is absolutely fantastic. It seems many people have reno stories of over time, over budget. VR finished on time and about 1-2% over budget (and nearly all of that was existing damage they uncovered that needed to be repaired). Their quote was detailed and reviewed multiple times line-by-line, and with me, to ensure that there was no question about the finished product. They were very detailed from the beginning about steps in the process, including plans, permits, etc. and where there might be delays. Jimmy, our Super, was AMAZING. Always available by phone or text, following up with the one sub who left a mess after finishing their work, and was here to check in with subs at least for a bit most days someone was working. They did a fantastic job of lining up their subs, so someone was here just about every day of the renovation. And the subs themselves were excellent - friendly, tidy, and really good work. Two times during the renovation, the subs uncovered existing issues - one with plumbing and one with wiring. They were things that they could have ignored and just completed their work. But instead, Jimmy brought them to my attention, talked me through the risk of disregarding, and allowed me the opportunity to have those situations remedied while the subs were already there doing the work. Really above and beyond! Shannon in the office was likewise always available to answer questions and was willing to order fixtures etc from wherever I found them. :)”
